CAREER NOTES:

Kasime Adillo made his first USA appearance at the 2008 Chevron Houston Marathon where he led a small lead pack into the final miles. With 400 meters left, three-time winner David Cheruiyot pulled ahead for the win while Adillo placed second. His proudest moment wasn't his win at the 2005 Reims Marathon but rather at the ING Ottawa Marathon in 2006. There he ran 2:10:48 to cross the finish line in second place, but unfortunately due to some confusion of the course the lead pack cut 400 meters off the route and his finish was disqualified.

Adillo made his mark at the 2008 Boston Marathon, grabbing the final point-scoring position with his fifth place finish in 2:12:24.

PERSONAL NOTES:

Adillo trains in Addis Ababa. He started running at 15 because his older brother ran. He is married to Ethiopian cross country and half marathon star Teyba Erkesso and his hobbies include traveling and reading.
