Partners and the Community
Youth Program
The Marathon gives back to the Chicago Park District for all of its efforts to assist with the race by annually supporting the Chicago Park District Citywide Cross Country Championships. By helping host three qualifying youth races, The Bank of America Chicago Marathon shares the joy and reward of exercise and fitness with the next generation. The series culminates on the Saturday of race weekend with a championship competition at Burnham Harbor. Children in the program receive finisher medals, bib numbers and t-shirts along with the excitement of racing. For more information, visit www.exploremorechicago.com.
Neighborhood Partners
The 13 official neighborhoods of the Marathon are: The Loop, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park, Lakeview East, Old Town, River North, West Loop, Little Italy/University Village, Pilsen, Chinatown, Bronzeville, Prairie District and the South Loop. Partners in these communities receive a variety of items to outfit their rally stations and businesses leading up to the race. Learn more about the Neighborhood Partners.
