CAREER NOTES:

Although she did not finish her first New York City Marathon in 2008, Kim Smith came back strong in 2010 for a top five finish. Earlier in the year she set a New Zealand national record of 2:25:21.

Smith also holds the New Zealand records for one mile, 3000 meters, 5000 meters, 10,000 meters and the half-marathon.

At Providence College she won four NCAA titles. She graduated there with a degree in education and continues to live in Providence.
