CAREER NOTES:
Hladyr led wire to wire at the 2006 Rome Marathon to establish a four-minute personal best and set a new Ukrainian national record. Possessing a tremendous ability to recover quickly from her marathons, Hladyr followed up her 11th-place 2005 New York City result with wins at 8K and 4 miles over the next two weekends.
At New York City in 2006, Hladyr had her best World Marathon Majors showing with a second place. She did not compete for most of 2007.
PERSONAL NOTES:
Her fiancée, Aleksandr Kuzin, is one of the Ukraine's top male marathoners with a 2:10:09 best. They split time between West Chester, Pennsylvania and Kiev, The Ukraine.
