Susie Hewer extreme knitted her way around the 2007 Flora London Marathon and into the Guinness World Records. Susie’s beloved mum, Peggy, died of vascular dementia following a heartbreaking eight-year battle with the disease.

trainersSusie said: “When mum began getting confused I knew she couldn’t be left alone so I gave up my job to care for her. The day she didn’t know I was her daughter was devastating.”

“Running the marathon for the Alzheimer’s Research Trust is great fun and an honor. I hope more people will join us in 2008 and run their socks off for dementia research”

Help us give hope to the 18 million people worldwide with dementia by calling us today.
