Susie Hewer extreme knitted her way around the 2007 Flora London Marathon and into the Guinness World Records. Susie’s beloved mum, Peggy, died of vascular dementia following a heartbreaking eight-year battle with the disease.
Susie said: “When mum began getting confused I knew she couldn’t be left alone so I gave up my job to care for her. The day she didn’t know I was her daughter was devastating.”
