Founded in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest voluntary health agency dedicated to eradicating Alzheimer's disease and helping those afflicted with Alzheimer's. The Association is the world's largest private funder of Alzheimer's research in the world, having distributed more than $165 million to date. The Massachusetts Chapter provides education, training and support to over 30,000 individuals each year. Families often describe the Alzheimer's Association as a lifeline, providing critical support to individuals living with this challenging disease, helping them to take control of the disease.
As a team member of the Run for the Memory Training Team Program you will receive:
- Fundraising support including a "Getting Started" Fundraising Manual, individual online fundraising webpage, one-on-one phone and email coaching, sample letters, event planning tips and Association related fundraising materials like banners, donation tracking forms and fact sheets on Alzheimer's disease.
- Training support including an individual training schedule, one-on-one phone and email coaching and opportunity to discuss your training with an experienced coach.
- Team support-- most of our team members have a direct connection to Alzheimer's disease and know first hand the challenges of knowing someone who has memory loss or a form of dementia. Team members have found comfort knowing that they are not alone in the journey of Alzheimer's disease.
- Incentive prizes for top fundraisers and team t-shirts for all who participate.
