Vote for your Chicago Performance of the Day

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon produced some thrilling racing but who delivered your Performance of the Day?

A new world record was set, personal bests were smashed and there was a seventh win for one athlete in Chicago, but who gets your vote?

Amos Kipruto

The Kenyan finally won in Chicago after coming third and second in 2024 and 2025 respectively. With the pre-race talk being about Jacob Kiplimo, Amos Kipruto stole the headlines by running 2:01:09, the fifth fastest time in Majors history. It was his second Majors title, having won in London four years ago.

Hawi Feysa

The Ethiopian became a back-to-back Chicago champion after winning an intriguing battle with Sharon Lokedi. The pair exchanged places at the front until Feysa found another gear with a mile to go. Her time of 2:13:33 is the fourth fastest time in Majors history and excitingly Feysa thinks she can run even quicker.

Marcel Hug

The Swiss was utterly dominant in winning his seventh Chicago Marathon. After Daniel Romanchuk withdrew early and David Weir struggled to maintain his challenge, Hug cruised ahead, eventually winning by a staggering 8:37 margin.

Catherine Debrunner

Catherine Debrunner shocked herself by obliterating the world record - something she said was totally unexpected given the technical nature of the Chicago course. The Swiss was 48 seconds ahead after 5KM and relentlessly powered on, winning by 8:45.
