Vote for your New York City Performance of the Day

The TCS New York City Marathon produced a thrilling day of racing but which of the four winners was your Performance of the Day?

Andreas Almgren

Andreas Almgren stunned everyone by winning a Major on his marathon debut, the first time in 16 years that has happened. He also became the first Swede to win a Major and the first European since Paula Radcliffe in 2008. His winning time of 2:06:01 was 13 seconds ahead of Italy's Yemaneberhan Crippa.

Sheila Chepkirui

The Kenyan athlete held off Jess McClain and Hellen Obiri to claim a thrilling win and her second victory in New York. Chepkirui waited until the final climb in Central Park to drop Obiri, who was beaten on the line by McClain.

Marcel Hug

Marcel Hug won his sixth Major of the season but the Swiss had to summon up a sprint finish to get past the spirited Daniel Romanchuk who looked set to regain the New York title he won two years ago. In the best race of the season, Hug timed his move to perfection, catapulting his way past his American compatriot and complete a clean sweep of the original Majors.

Catherine Debrunner

The Swiss has been utterly dominant this season and backed up her world record breaking performance in Chicago three weeks ago with another destructive showing in New York. Her winning margin of 8:26 underlined the gulf in class.
