Water contigency form Race Day

You will have read about the expected weather conditions for the race on Sunday. To reassure you, we have put our contingency water plans into action which means there will be a lot more water at the water stations on the course.

We're putting an extra 2,600 bottles at each of the 23 water stations on the second half of the course. That means there will be 27,600 bottles of water at each station.

In addition, there will be showers at intervals around the course which you are advised to run through. PLEASE DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO POUR BOTTLED WATER OVER YOUR HEAD. This won't help you and is not the best use of the water supplies.

Drinking on the day:

Start the race well hydrated and if you are not already bursting, drink half a pint (250ml) of water or sports drink in the half hour before the start.

There are plenty of portaloos around the course!
