The Swiss athlete began the series with wins in Chicago and New York City in 2019 before the pandemic interrupted the campaign.
She placed second in the elite only London Marathon in 2020 and returned to action with a successful Paralympic Games in which she took home two gold medals as well as silver in the marathon.

She was injured in an accident in 1993 and started wheelchair sport in 1998 aged 14. She lives in Lucerne where she was born and is an ambassador for Right To Play Switzerland which helps children in disadvantaged countries take part in sport. Her surname means ‘scissors’ in English.
